THE HISTORY OF LEICESTER GRANBY ROLLER SKATING CLUB
Although our club is called Leicester Granby, we actually train just outside Leicester in a place called Enderby. (A piece of useless information is that the headquarters of Next is almost next to us but no factory shop!) Origianlly Leicester Granby was based in the centre of Leicester next to the Leicester Tigers ground at Granby Halls. Unfortunataly this is now demolished and is a car park - what a waste!

Our club chairman is John Muschialli and has been for the past 15 years and he has seen the club grow from just having beginners to having skaters in European Internationals.

Members
We currently have 20 members and out of which 8 skate competively. In 2002 we are hoping to get some of our newest members onto the floor in competitions!
This year we entered a team event with 7 of the girls - this was quite a success but we are aiming to do even better next yesr!

Becki is the oldest member and has has the most experience in the skating world, including many Internationals.
Sarah, Sara, Lisa,Jenni and Nad have all been skating for three years and Laura about two years. Little Sarah entered her first competion at Alumnwell this year.
